Statistics on Indian States
To further research and analysis, the Reserve Bank of India
(RBI) has been providing coherent time series data on wide range of socio-economic
indicators of
the regional economy of India in the form of the 'Handbook of Statistics on Indian
States' on an annual basis since 2016. It provides sub-national statistics
on socio-demographics, health, state domestic product, agriculture, environment, price
and wages, industry, infrastructure, banking and fiscal indicators across
Indian states over various time periods ranging from 1951 to 2024. Such handbooks
published by RBI and available on the RBI's website (www.rbi.org.in) for
different years are collated and provided in this section for use by DES Officials.
